New Toys!

Who knew that one day I would graduate from spending all of my money on shoes and clothes, to spending it on fun new kitchen toys? I never would have guessed that one!

I am beyond excited about my new purchases!

Processed with VSCOcam with f2 preset

Black & Decker 8 cup Food Processor

Adorable Cuisinart color coded knives

And new baking sheets!

I think I am most excited about the food processor, pesto and cauliflower rice are in my very near future!

Have you ever tried to make cauliflower rice without a food processor? I’m talking old school – with a cheese grater.. quite possibly the worst idea I ever had. Holding a head of cauliflower and grating it until its down to the stem, to get the maximum amount of “rice”, is the least fun thing I have ever done in a kitchen. It took FOREVER, it hurt my wrists and forearms (mini workout, that’s for sure) and worst of all, I kept nicking my fingers on the cheese grater.

I used the cauliflower rice in a chicken, bacon, “rice” dish. I decided then that until I got a food processor, I just wasn’t going to make it again. I just didn’t have the patience. Which is pretty sad because it is such a great alternative to rice and it goes with almost anything!

Get ready family, now that we have a food processor you are going to be eating a hell of a lot more cauliflower!

Do you want to know what else you can do with a food processor? CHOP STUFF!

Gone will be the days of crying while cutting onions… I am going to just throw those nasty buggers into the food processor and be done with it!

It’s the little things in life 🙂
